Introduction: Tube thoracostomy placement in COVID-19 patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) requiring venovenous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VVECMO) support is common; Outcomes following tube thoracostomy, however, are largely unreported; We sought to explore differences in complication rates between patients with and without COVID-19.
