Abstract:

Three remarkable non-commissioned officers (NCOs), who made a difference in the United States Army: SFC Carter, a Negro Soldier that had a vast experience as an infantryman, despite this fact he could not initially serve in the U.S. Army as an infantryman. SGT Mauldin, an infantryman that never earned any type of heroic medal, despite this, he single handily changed the morale of hundreds of thousands of Soldiers with his imagination and infamous cartoons.
