Abstract:
During the battle of An Najaf, I was serving as the Command Sergeant Major for TaskForce 2-7 Cavalry, 15t Cavalry Division, as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Throughout thebattle the Muuqtada Militia morale was high and at times fanatical. It increased as the task forceprogressed toward the Imam Ali Shrine. Supporters of Muqtada Al Sadr continually attempted toreinforce the embattled enemy forces within the Imam Ali Shrine.
