Title:
Japan's War In Asia. Lecture Delivered 6 October 1939 by Professor Albert E. Hindmarsh at the Naval War College, Newport, RI
Report Date:
1939-10-09
Abstract:
The state of affairs in Asia , as in the rest of the world, is one of flux, of alignment and realignment, of diplomatic maneuvers which include the use of perfidy, bribery, ruse, and double-crossing. The uncertainties of the situation are increased by the general loss of faith in the pledge word, by the breakdown of ideological barriers, by a sudden realization that the entire world falls in the range of dictatorial plans and dreams, and by the extraordinary effectiveness with which aggressor states have timed and coordinated their moves.
