Abstract:

This TOP prescribes procedures for analyzing the steering and cornering behavior of vehicles and vehicle combinations. The tests described encompass turn ability, maneuverability, response to steady-state and transient steer inputs, handling, directional stability, roll stability, vehicle controllability, accident avoidance maneuver performance, and electronic stability control (ESC) systems.
