Abstract:
This volume is the first in a series of three reporting the proceedings of the 6th International Congress on Noise as a Public Health Problem which was held in Nice, France from the 5th to the 9th of July 1993. Volume 1 includes abstracts of the four main conferences and of 51 invited papers on the various effects of noise on people. It also includes the reflections of the European Community Commission DG XI and the World Health Organisation concerning, noise, together with 10 abstracts on the special workshop papers concerning control of damage to the ear and on sleep.
