Abstract:
This report provides basic manpower data on active duty military, civilian, retired, and reserved military personnel of the Department of Defense. It is divided into the following sections 1 Total Department of Defense Personnel 2 Active Duty Military Personnel 3 Civilian Personnel 4 Other Personnel and 5 Reserve Personnel. Each section has a short narrative with a general description of the contents and selected highlights, displaying increasesdecreases from the prior fiscal year and general trends. Although the focus of this publication is on summary data for DoD as a whole, many tables provide associated data for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and other components of DoD.
