Abstract:
This report details developmental efforts in providing the initial phase of a fully automated Air Information Production System AAIPS for the Defense Mapping Agency Aerospace Center. The system is used to produce DOD Flight Information Publications FLIPS NavigationPlanning and Special Purpose Charts Special Products and the Automated Air Facility Information File. The requirements, functional design and operational considerations of the AAIPS Charting, Air Facilities, and Publishing Subsystems are presented.
