Abstract:
A data bank for Doppler ultrasonic bubble flow data obtained during and following decompression of divers has been established for the purpose of data storage and subsequent computer analysis. Each dive is characterized by 52 parameters selected for future computer correlation studies. For each of 12 of the parameters, a table has been provided into which entries may be made as the data bank grows. Data are entered into the data bank via a specified Data Bank Form. A program entitled DEV is used for listing and verification of data bank files another entitled SEV is used to calculate an index of severity of decompression. A listing and example are provided for each of the programs, SEV and DEV. The program, SEV, is the first of many possible applications programs utilizing the data bank. The use of the data bank and the application of SEV in an experimental program involving 80 man-dives is described. Author
