Abstract:
In this part of the Research and Technology Plan, the technical details of the AFML program are displayed according to Technical Planning Objective TPO. The broad, general objectives of each TPO, together with the major Laboratory technical thrusts supporting the objectives are discussed. The detailed goals and technical approaches for each major thrust are presented and their applicability to the Systems Command development goals, to the Product Divisions technical needs, and to the user Commands operational requirements are clearly illustrated. With one exception, the TPOs are aligned one to one with the Laboratory 62102F Projects, as follows Thermal Protection Materials Aerospace Structural Materials--Metallic and Nonmetallic Aerospace Propulsion Materials Fluids, Lubricant, and Elastomeric Materials Protective Coatings and Materials and Electromagnetic Window and Electronic Materials.
