Abstract:

The role of various forms of stress in activating the adrenergic nervous system and release of bioamines in the brain and periphery was studied in a number of experimental animal preparations in dogs, pigs and nonhuman primate. Extensive information was collected on several forms of stress, their biochemical responses and in connection with the role of the central adrenergic system and lipid metabolism. Most of the findings were published in scientific journals andor reported in scientific meetings. A total of 110 publications full-length papers, abstracts and other reports which resulted from these studies, including several collaborative studies are listed with complete bibliographic information.
