Abstract:
Experiments have been carried out on the creep of tubular specimens of glass-fabric reinforced plastics subjected to tension, compression and torsion and the combined action of such loadings. The intrinsic effect of the sign of the normal stress on the onset of shear creep has been shown. The basic rheological parameters of the material were determined and approximated to the experimental curves and a comparison was made between the calculated and experimental results.
