MARYLAND UNIV COLLEGE PARK DEPT OF AEROSPACE ENGINEERING
A set of lecture notes is presented for use in a course on Gasdynamic Lasers. The subject matter includes Physics considerations, calculation of gasdynamic laser performance, comparison between theory and experiment, optical cavity considerations and fluid-dynamic problems. The approach is to present the basic physics and aerodynamics leading to actual ability to design a gasdynamic laser.
Presented as part of Lecture Series 65, 'High Power Gas Lasers' at von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, Brussels, Belgium, Mar 1974.
