Abstract:
The detectability threshold of defects is crucial to radiographic testing. Military product specifications for critical and major defects requires precise measurement of relevant defect sizes. In this paper we introduce artificial defects in M1 shells and investigate the resulting line profiles and establish a Nyquist Criterion for detectability.
