Title:
A Novel Reactive Electrochemical Membrane System for Treatment of Mixed Contaminants
Corporate Author:
University of Georgia Griffin United States
Report Date:
2019-01-01
Abstract:
The aim of this limited scope project was to prove the concept of using a reactive electrochemical membrane REM system to remove and degrade mixed Contaminants of Concerns CoCs in groundwater. The REM system involves an electric-conductive porous Magneli phase titanium sub-oxide ceramic material that serves simultaneously as a three-dimensional 3-D anode and a membrane through which contaminant-containing water is filtered and treated electrochemically.
