Abstract:
The ARSAG Aerial Refueling Probe Drogue Guidance Document provides technical information and supporting data useful for development of probedrogue aerial refueling AR systems on new or existing aircraft. Its focus is on the coupled tankerreceiver aircraft system, tanker AR fuel system, tanker AR drogue system integration, receiver aircraft probe system designintegration, and receiver aircraft fuel system. The document includes guidance and lessons learned that can impact safety and mission success when integrating probedrogue AR systems onto a tanker or receiver aircraft. The document is applicable to manned and unmanned tankers and receivers, daynight operations, and AR training and to the KC-135 equipped with the Boom-to Drogue Adaptor BDA kit. The document may be provided to NATO JAPCC as a supplement to technical information in ATP 3.3.4.6 STANAG 3447 and in conjunction with the Joint Services Specification Guides JSSG.
