Abstract:
As part of the United States Air Force USAF Science and Technology S and T Strategy 2030 study, this report presents the Northwestern University teams findings and recommendations on business processes and organizational structures that have proven effective at promoting, supporting, and managing early stage research. The recommendations are organized around four themes, which were informed by 1 interviews with AFRL personnel during an on-site visit to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, 2 a workshop composed of internalexternal expert discussions, and 3 the expertise and experience of the study team.
