Abstract:

This Final EIS was prepared by the USAF in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act NEPA of 1969 42 United States Code USC 4321 et seq.,as implemented by the Council on Environmental Quality CEQ regulations 40 Code of Federal Regulations CFR 1500-1508, and Air Force Instruction AFI 32-7061, The Environmental Impact Analysis Process EIAP as promulgated in 32 CFR 989. The USAF has prepared this Final EIS to assess the potential environmental consequences associated with the implementation of the KC-46A MOB 3 mission. The USAF identified MOB 3 alternatives using operational analysis, the results of site surveys, and military judgment factors. Resources addressed in the Final EIS include noise, air quality, safety, soils and water, biological resources, cultural resources, land use, infrastructure, hazardous materials and waste, socioeconomics, and environmental justice and the protection of children.
