Abstract:
To carry out this effort, a team consisting of ISEN , NUWC Newport Division, and the Applied Research Laboratory ARL at the Pennsylvania State University has been assembled. ISEN will be responsible for generating the enhancements to the TILA code. NUWC Newport will develop and execute the models for verification and validation and ARL will measure and provide experimental data to construct the constitutive laws and for model validation . This report addresses the measurement results obtained in experiments at ARL to determine the effects of the dynamic and static stress, and temperature on material properties and device behavior and provide feedback and validation of the new modeling capabilities.
