The 2010 signing of Directive-Type MemorandumDTM 10-015, Requirements for LifeCycle Management and Product Support, wasa great achievement for both the DoD life cyclelogistics and program management communities.It implemented the requirements of Section 805 of PublicLaw 111-84 in the Fiscal Year 2010 National DefenseAuthorization Act and established DoD policy mandatinga product support manager PSM position be identifiedand assigned for each acquisition category ACATI and II program office, and be filled by a properly qualifiedmilitary Service member or full-time employee of the Department.
