Abstract:
As the United States government experiences deep budget and manpower reductions, it is imperative to evaluate organizational efficacy to ensure homeland security does not falter. The current Air Force Security Forces organizational structure is evaluated for compatibility with other agencies in executing the homeland security mission. The law enforcement, antiterrorism, counterintelligence, intelligence, and emergency management constructs are of primary interest as they are keys to preventing catastrophes and in responding to incidents that do occur.
