Abstract:
The Advanced Electronic Display Systems ADEDS task of the SST Technology Follow-On Program includes the installation and flight test of display and navigationguidance hardware and software developed under this task. This report provides a summary photographic description of the installation in the flight test airplane- 737-100, NASA 515 and a description of the basic airplane performance and systems configuration. Primary locations for installation include the flight deck First Officers position, passenger cabin, forward cargo bay, and the weather radar radome cavity. A palletized installation concept was used for installing the experimental equipment except where the function to be performed specified a location not amenable to palletization or where basic airplane equipment racks provided the space required without modification.
