Abstract:

Final design details of the Premature Simulator and the results of development and calibration tests using explosive samples are described. Also described are the results of tests conducted on Explosive D in support of the recent 5 in.54 and 8 in.55 in-bore investigations, of pressure measurements made in projectile charges fired in 5 in.38 and 5 in.54 guns.
