Report Date:

Abstract:
The Scott Aviation closed circuit oxygen underwater breathing apparatus was evaluated to determine the relative merits of single demand valve actuation versus double demand valve actuation of make-up oxygen. No significant improvement is provided through the use of a single demand valve as designed. Excessive breathing bag inflaction develops. The double demand valve requires a means of adjustment to provide a satisfactory actuation level. Author
