Abstract:
This document is a case study of the political, economic, sociological, psychological, scientific-technological, and military aspects of the Philippines prior to the occurrence of the low intensity conflict and loss of control by the Government of the Republic in 1948. It is one of seven substudies of representative countries conducted to determine the factors that lead to low intensity conflict. The years 1935-48 were selected for examination as the preconflict period.
