Abstract:
The report describes research on solids being done in Prof. W. Waidelichs I Physikalisches Institute at the Technische Hochscule, Darmstadt the groups led by Profs. P. Haasen and Th. Hehenkamp at the Institut fur Metallphysik, and Prof. K. Hauffe at the Institut fur Physikalische Chemie, all of the University of Gottingen the groups of Profs. N. Riehl and E. Luscher, of the Physik-Department, Technische Hochschule, Munchen Prof. Th. Heumanns Institut fur Metallforschung and Prof. F. Fischers Institut der Physik, of the University of Munster and, at the University of Stuttgart, Prof. H. Picks II Physikalisches Institut, Prof. H. C. Wolfs III Physikalisches Institut, and Prof. A. Seegers Institut fur Physik of the Max-Planck Institut fur Metallforschung. Much of this research is oriented toward lattice defect phenomena. Author
