Abstract:

Data are presented on the mechanical properties range of moduli andstrength of unidirectional and bidirectional epoxy composites utilizinggraphite fibers in the form of tow as reinforcements. One-meter- onglengths as well as 1000-foot continuous lengths of tow were prepreggedwith epoxy resin. Composites were fabricated and evaluated in tension,flexure, interlaminar shear, and compression. The composite propertiesindicated good translation of fiber properties. Author-PL
