Corporate Author:
AIR FORCE ROCKET PROPULSION LAB EDWARDSAFB CA
Report Date:
1969-07-01
Abstract:
This report describes the calibration and an error analysis of the 6- component 50,000-pound Rocket Motor Thrust Stand located on Pad 2, Air Force Rocket Propulsion Laboratory, Solid Test Area. The purpose of this report is to establish stand accuracy and reproducibility for a calibrated static test loading. Errors considered primarily resulted from thrust stand misalignment, propellant mass flow of the motor, and cross-axis interactions. Dynamic effects resulting from vibration were not included in the detailed analysis but are briefly discussed. Author
