Abstract:

Six Materials Handling Augmenters MHA were sent to the Republic of Vietnam in August 1968 to give the M52A2 5-ton truck-tractor a capability of unloading andor loading its own semi-trailer where conventional material handling equipment was not available. The MHA is a fully hydraulic, 4000-pound capacity forklift which is seated on the rear frame of the vehicle in such a manner that semi-trailers can still be attached to the fifth wheel. Author
