Title:
Inlet Distortion Investigation, Upstream Engine Influence and Screen Simulation.
Corporate Author:
BOEING CO SEATTLE WA
Report Date:
1969-01-01
Abstract:
This report describes the results of an investigation of the flow field at the discharge plane of an 0.28-scale SST-type inlet under ground test conditions, the up-stream influence of the compressor on the flow field at the discharge plane, and screen simulation of the flow field. The tests conducted with a YJ85-5 engine were Test I - 0.28-scale inlet isolated from engine with constant-area duct Test II - downstream decay of flow pattern from inlet discharge Test III - 0.28-scale inlet close coupled to engine Test IV - screen simulation of isolated inlet flow field Test V - screen simulation of close-coupled inlet flow field.
