The melters met all operational criteria. No test item failures occurred during testing. The overall maintenance ratio was 0.082 hours of active maintenance time per operating hour. There was one support deficiency in that support items repair parts and appropriate manuals were not furnished with the test items. It was concluded that the Code A Model TH-12-750 - Asphalt Melter as furnished for test is suitable for troop use however, issue to troops should be withheld until applicable support items AR 700-70 are available for simultaneous issue.
