Abstract:

The report contains a study of an outbreak of bacterial leaf blight of rice plants. An investigation of the primary source was made. Knowledge of the distribution of infective agent on rice plants, when the primary infection occurs and before the appearance of the blight is recognized, was thought to be extremely important and thus this investigation was undertaken.
