Abstract:
To study immonological diagnosis of Cr. neoformans infection the polysaccharide fraction was extracted, purified from Cr. neoformans no. 2617 strain and used as an antigen for skin and precipitin reaction of the immunized rabbit. As a result of this experiment, the skin reaction was parallel to its precipitin reaction. Therefore, it is suggested that the polysaccharide fraction could be utilized as an antigen to diagnose human cryptococcosis infection. Author
