Abstract:

The present study shows the time relation in describing sections of the ground track of a 24-hour satellite. The oscillation of an equatorial satellite is investigated and the dependence of the amplitude on eccentricity is shown. For elliptical inclined orbits the decrease of a lobes size and its total disappearance are shown as functions of increasing eccentricity, of the perigee parameter and inclination. Plots illustrating typical cases are provided. Author
