Abstract:
An operational data acquisition system is installed at the Bondville Road Field Station. The system records digital and analog electrical information in a digital format on magnetic tape. The data tapes are transported to the computer center for processing. Although the format of the recorded tapes is non-compatible with that of the computer, the information is transferred from the data tapes to the computer by means of an interface system. The report discusses the operation of the data system and the manner in which the data system is to be used. As an example, the present application of the data system is examined. The limitations of the data system and proposed improvements are presented. The appendix includes a computer program and data listing for computer analysis of the recorded data. Author
