Abstract:
This report covers progress on all phases of this project under Contract AF 3360028692. Flight test operations covered include five full-scale flights. Fabrication of vehicles and boosters proceeded according to schedule. All seven test vehicles authorized under this contract item have been completed or are under construction. In autopilot development, continued progress has been made on the fabrication, installation and test of autopilot systems on the study of elevator servo requirements and on the use of computer study methods to improve the pitch command system. Three parachute tests were conducted. These include Scale Model Drag Chute Test No. 7 Main Canopy Test No. 77 and Intermediate Parachute Test No. 9.
