Corporate Author:

Abstract:
The tensile and some compressive, shear and bearing properties of a total of 90 samples of 2014, 2024, 6061, 7075 and 7178 aluminum alloy extrusions in the TX51X temper have been determined. The extrusions ranged in thicknesses from 0.051 in. to 6.500 in. Ratios among these properties have also been computed. Stress-corrosion tests of 18 samples of TX51X extrusions have been initiated.
