Abstract:
The problems caused by amplitude modulation and signal strength variations of signals received by a circular antenna array have been investigated by the techniques of digital simulation as well as direct experimentation. The methods investigated require that a ratio of signal amplitudes be obtained the log-ratio unit was introduced to perform this operation. Two methods of the four investigated show promise for yielding improved signals.
