Report Date:

Abstract:
The most significant accomplishment for the year 1966 has resulted in prediction of ray propagation path in linear layered inhomogeneous oceans with further work underway to take care of higher orders of complexity. Secondly, a significant breakthrough has been achieved in calculating scatter reverberation from a statistically rough and moving water-air interface. Thirdly, an isotropic correlation function for an ocean-like surface showing a cross-wind to a long-wind variation has been developed. A unique experimental system has been developed to verify experimentally all these concepts in the laboratory. Author
