Report Date:

Abstract:
This paper contains an analysis of fundamental problems of incomplete combustion of hydrocarbon fuels, brought about deliberately by producing over-rich air-fuel ratios, and a description of the existing methods of calculation in dealing with some of these problems. A number of examples are presented to show how the effects of such a combustion process can be used in heat engines. Finally, some research problems are discussed, the solution of which is necessary for correct design and calculation of incomplete combustion processes. Author
