Abstract:
This document defines the Boeing SST value engineering plan for the supersonic preproduction prototype development program. It provides policy direction as well as technical and management considerations for the execution and maintenance of an effective program. The value engineering plan will be implemented through use of the following methods Application of value engineering by employees in performance of application assignments Formal analysis of design, development, test, tooling, planning, and manufacturing Informal analyses and recommendations developed through consultation and Value engineering in conjunction with procurement functions.
