Corporate Author:
PRATT AND WHITNEY AIRCRAFT GROUP EAST HARTFORD CT
Report Date:
1964-10-15
Abstract:
Control schematic revisions dictated by new engine requirements have been investigated and are described in the report. Some control components have been reviewed and modified from the standpoint of one or more of the following objectives improved performance, reduced weight, and decreased size. A packaging and arrangement feasibility study has resulted in a reduction in control size which is compatible with the latest envelope requirements. Continued development testing of the pressure ratio sensor has shown very satisfactory performance when operating in a vibratory field. The elastomeric seal development program has indicated that seals capable of satisfactory performance can be developed. Satisfactory dynamic performance has been demonstrated by the results of the control transient studies performed on computers. Author
