Abstract:
A method based on the pressure dependence of the bulk modulus has been developed for determining the Lattice Gruneisen Constant L of polymers. This technique has been applied to a series of polymers, and the results are discussed in terms of the anharmonic properties of polymers and in particular in terms of the interchain specific heat. Other methods of calculating the constant are presented and discussed. Modified author abstract
