Additives for lubricant coolants for metal machining with synthetic diamonds are given. The theory of the use of lubricant coolant and the effect of surface active agents on machining processes are discussed. An additive NSK-5 Na salt of petroleum sludge acid 30, and a given formula, containing triethanolamine up to 15 and water was prepared and tested in diamond honing of hardened cast iron and steels.
