Abstract:

The invention concerns a device for the measurement of acoustic energy, incorporating a high-frequency oscillator, acoustic transducer, series-connected amplifiers, phase detectors and squaring devices, a low-pass filter, and an integrating indicator. The distinguishing feature of the device consists in the fact that, in order to improve the accuracy, its acoustic transducer is designed in the form of a spherical radiating element with three pairs of receivers arranged along three mutually perpendicular axes. The receiver outputs are connected across the amplifiers, phase detectors, and squaring devices - and the radiator output across the low-pass filter, an amplifier, and a squaring device - to the input of an adder which is coupled to the integrating indicator.
