Abstract:

Routine analyses of microgramliter concentrations of Na, K, Ca2, and Mg2 are possible in aqueous solutions with good sensitivity down to 2 microgramliter. A two-month study showed that Standard solutions can be kept for relatively long periods of time with no change in concentration or interference between cations at these concentration levels, and Relative deviation of absorption increases with decreasing concentration, but never exceeds 100 even at 2 microgramliter concentrations, so detection limits can be assured to this level.
