Abstract:
The CODEM system has been evaluated for HF data transmission under a completed study and simulation contract to Naval Air Systems Command. The system designed and evaluated under this contract promises to provide a data transmission rate of 4800 bps over a double sideband HF channel with better transmission reliability than a TADIL-A modem operating at 2400 bps in dual diversity.
