Corporate Author:

Report Date:

Abstract:
The study evaluated the wingbase level financial management reporting system developed as a result of Project PRIME. Seven criteria for evaluation were formulated through comprehensive research of appropriate operational and scholarly literature. Comparison of the management reports of the system with these criteria resulted in the conclusion that the system is inadequate. The primary shortcoming is that the system fails to provide standards and data for management control. Other problems are the failure of the system to relate resources consumed to output produced, excessive use of abbreviations, and the lack of historical information for trend identification purposes.
