Corporate Author:
FOREIGN TECHNOLOGY DIV WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB OHIO
Report Date:
1970-01-13
Abstract:
The book is devoted to problems in the motion of two-phase media fluids of high velocity relevent to the development of fixed and transportational energy, atomic power stations, and other areas of physics and thermal energy. It explains the theoretical basis of two-phase medium mechanics, the computational methods, the solution of condensation problems in high-velocity flows and of the velocity of sound in the two-phase medium. In addition, subsonic and ultrasonic currents of water vapor in a quasi-unidimensional statement of the problem are considered. The book deals with applied problems of two-phase medium motion in nozzles, pipes, injectors, turbine gratings, and steam-operated turbine stages. Attention is given to some problems on the motion of films and methods of experimentally investigating the medium currents. Author
