Abstract:

At various points in a two-choice probability learning experiment, Ss were interrupted and asked to estimate the probability of the most frequent of the two stimulus events. The Ss estimates were compared with the proportion of trials on which other Ss predicted the events. The estimates change as a function of training in a manner consistent with a simple Bayesian revision model. Author
